Within the scope of this project to reorganize logistics operations for the Toronto region, GCL Group was involved in a series of projects comprising: the diagnosis of overall logistics performance, the development of short-term recommendations, providing guidelines for performing an intensive exercise in order to estimate future sales, product lines, order profile, inventory turnover, assistance in the establishment of design criteria, developing scenarios for optimizing productivity, space utilization and increased inventory control, a financial analysis of the developed options and recommendations for the company’s management committees.
GCL Group was also contracted to implement the recommendations. In particular, the development of guidelines for acquiring equipment, selecting suppliers, developing an implementation schedule, supervising the installation of new equipment and last but not least performing a full post-implementation audit.
