With a tradition of ingenuity and close attention to our customers since 1937, our customer operates manufacturing facilities in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Finland, Austria and Australia. they employ more than 14,500 people and their advanced and distinctive product line includes snowmobiles, personal watercraft, off-road and on-road vehicles, boats, as well as engines for go-karts and recreational aircraft. they back up their product lines with a company specializing in parts, accessories and clothing, to fully enhance your driving experience. The Montreal area service center has 800,000 pica and manages over 50,000 different spare parts.

Challenge to overcome

As sales continue to grow, the company faces a multitude of projects to improve the logistics performance of their after-sales service and provide spare parts required by dealers. As the teams in place cannot meet the deadlines for the various projects, then management must turn to experts who can free up resources and support the internal teams on site and full time.

The role of GCL in the realization of this project

Assignment of full-time advisers (8 months):

  • Set up a project and performance monitoring structure;
  • Identify and assign the 4 identified resources on specific projects;
    1. Development and implementation of performance indicators for the 3PL in place;
    2. Development and operational management of parts transfer reports in peripheral warehouses;
    3. Review of parts packaging operations upon receipt;
    4. Inventory performance management for the Dallas warehouse;
  • Weekly advisor performance report;
  • Participation in a monthly meeting with management on project assignment
The results
  • Achievement of projects and achievement of objectives;
  • Coordination of deliverables and participation in the logistics management committee;
  • Establishment of a continuous improvement committee;
